Ewan’s Least Favorite? Star Wars.

cut and paste job from worstpreviews.com:

Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi     They are some of the highest-grossing movies of all time, but Ewan McGregor regrets appearing in “Star Wars,” reports The Sun.

During a recent trip to a Scottish hospice, the father of a young patient suffering from an incurable condition, asked him about his best and worst film. In a very surprising answer, McGregor branded the sci-fi movies the worst work he has ever done.

Hamish Glasgow, whose three-year-old son Hamish suffers from rare Hoyeraal Hreidarsson, says: “Ewan was really down to earth. He was great with Cameron. He was really relaxed and you could tell he’s a really good dad. He said the favorite movie he’d done was ‘Trainspotting’ and the one he liked least was ‘Star Wars.’”

Hmm. Not Down with Love, not Robots and not The Island; but Star Wars. Admittedly, The Phantom Menace was a pretty poor film, but the third installment (Revenge of the Sith) was pretty balls-out fun. Though the article doesn’t specify which Star Wars film he means specifically, I can only assume one of two things: either he means the entire trilogy or just part 1. But still, I’m surprised he doesn’t like it at all compared to some of his other works. Oh well, he was there and I wasn’t. PLus, to each his own I guess.

Why So Serious?: Update - It’s a game

This is just an update as to what’s going on with the WhySoSerious? website I did a post about a few hours ago. When the countdown reached zero I tried refreshing the page and it took almost 5 minutes to load. Then suddenly another page appeared with another paragraph of instructions (written as if it’s the Joker who’s writing it) and a submit box below, presumably for input of a password.

Also below that box there is a smaller sentence that says “My wannabes” and when you click on that this appears:

The error message that appears I at first thought that it was something wrong with my computer but as I did it multiple times and it came up as the same thing I realize that it is on purpose. Or maybe you have to be within a certain range, of the location which I have now learned is in San Diego (across from the currently going on Comic Con), to gain access to the page.

If you have any information on it please leave a comment. Man, this ad campaign for The Dark Knight is killer!

Why So Serious?

The Dark Knight is a film I am eagerly anticipating. Batman Begins was one of the best films I had seen in ages (and it now sits firmly within my top 20 films of all time) so this sequel I would literally kill to see. Just recently (today if I’m not mistaken) a new website promoting the film has went online - this one can be found at - www.whysoserious.com. It’s basically similar to website where we saw a picture of Aaron Eckhart as Gotham DA Harvey Dent only given a Joker makeover. This time round the website has a lot more to it, including a couple of paragraphs about hiring people for some sort of job - I am still unclear about it myself (And also some sort of countdown(?)). Head on over to the website and decide for yourself.

(Thanks to user “Colin” for the heads up on this)

Twin Peaks - The Red Room

I have just finished watching the first series of Twin Peaks. Man have I been missing something not seeing it until now. It’s an excellent, highly addictive show and I can’t wait to get my hands on series 2 (which unfortunately isn’t available in Region 2). I just wanted to do a post on Agent Cooper’s dream from episode 2. It is the scene where he see’s the strange little man dancing and speaking weirdly (backwards?). I just wanted to post that clip here to get all your impressions and what you thought of it when you first saw it. Now remember I haven’t seen any of season 2 so don’t give away any spoilers.
